Fluidized bed air pulverizer and flat supersonic air pulverizer are two common types of air pulverizer, they are in the pulverizing principle, structural design, application areas, there are some differences:
1. Crushing principle
Fluidized bed jet mill: this mill uses high-speed airflow to fluidize the material, the material is crushed in the fluidized bed by collision, shear and other forces. Crushing process, the material particles suspended in the fluidized gas, mutual collision, so as to achieve the effect of crushing.
Flat supersonic air pulverizer: this pulverizer through the supersonic airflow generated by the high-energy shock waves to crush the material. The material is accelerated in the supersonic gas stream and is crushed when it impacts on the fixed or moving target plate inside the pulverizing chamber.
2. Structural design
Fluidized bed air mill: usually with a larger crushing chamber, the material in the crushing chamber is fluidized state, the design of the crushing chamber is conducive to the uniform distribution of materials and cyclic crushing.
Flat supersonic air mill: the milling chamber is usually designed as a flat or narrow shape, the airflow channel is narrow, which is conducive to the formation of supersonic airflow, improve the crushing efficiency.
3. Application range
Fluidized bed air flow pulverizer: it is suitable for medium-fine pulverization, suitable for handling materials with low hardness and high viscosity, such as chemical, food, pharmaceutical and other industries.
Flat supersonic air flow pulverizer: applicable to ultra-fine pulverization, suitable for handling materials with higher hardness and narrower particle size distribution requirements, such as metal powder, ceramics, minerals and so on.
4. Crushing fineness
Fluidized bed air flow pulverizer: the crushing fineness is usually between tens of microns and hundreds of microns.
Flat supersonic air flow pulverizer: pulverization fineness can reach several microns or even submicron level.
5. Energy consumption
Fluidized bed mill: due to the principle of pulverization and structure of the different, its energy consumption is relatively low.
Flat supersonic air flow pulverizer: due to the need to generate supersonic air flow, its energy consumption is relatively high.
6. Operation and maintenance
Fluidized Bed Pulverizer: Relatively simple operation and low maintenance cost.
Flat supersonic pulverizer: operation requirements are higher, maintenance costs are relatively high, especially the supersonic nozzle and other key components.
In general, the two types of air pulverizer have their own advantages and limitations, the choice should be based on specific crushing needs, material characteristics, cost budget and other factors for comprehensive consideration.
